ará-fulô
ará-fulô is an empowerment photo project that helps people feel more confident and secure in who you are. ‘ará-fulô’ means “tempo da flor” in portuguese, and “time of the flower”in english.
The photo session is about connecting with yourself, through music, dance, art, or whatever you like doing. It’s a moment to remember who you are, or want to be… to open your mind and heart for the journey of self love.
Vivian started out shy, feeling overwhelmed by her body and appearance. We all know how self-destructive low self-esteem can be. As an artist and singer, her image is very important, and she often doesn’t feel confident living her true self. I completely understand her; I, too, struggle with seeing my face and body in photos. Together, we found a way to practice self-love, helping her embrace who she is and the body she carries. It takes a lot of strength and resilience to keep going, but as the music played, she embraced the rhythm and owned her power. It was truly inspiring to witness her forgetting about her insecurities for an instant and feeling good in her body again
